When did you start to compete and WHY?

I was already training and wanted a new challenge. I had seen others compete and liked the look of the stage and what it entailed so I decided to give it a try! I loved it and have continued to love it since.

Have you done any other sports before?

No just general keep fit. I actually hated sports at school !!

What was the reaction of your friends and family when you decided to compete?

Supportive but admitted they would find it difficult to adhere to the diet and training required, and questioned how it would affect my social life. I never worried over any of these things as I knew I wanted to do the challenge and I knew I had a genuine passion for the sport.

Do you remember your first time on stage?

Yes! I had no idea what I was doing as I hadn’t sought help from a coach that had knowledge in the competing industry. I had a pt but they had no idea on what federations required. I also never sought posing coaching so as you can imagine I stood out for the wrong reasons.

What changed since?

I got myself a proper competition coach, and posing coach. Although I now am fully qualified and experienced myself to coach others, I still like that extra set of eyes and support during prep.

Which competition did you enjoy the most and why?

Arnold’s in oct 19. Despite not getting a top 6 (36 ladies in my class) to be invited to that stage and compete with the best, at those standards, was my biggest achievement in the competing industry. I was also extremely proud of the package I took as I knew it was my best to date.

What was / is your biggest success on stage or in personal life ?

As Above in stage success.

Personal life; setting up my own training studio and further studying to a high level within fitness and health.

What do you think girls should know before they will hit the competition stage?

Be proud of the package you are taking, avoid comparing and enjoy the moment you have worked for. You won’t always necessarily get the placing you want, but use this to further fuel you to go back with a different or improved physique. Don’t get low or depressed! It’s not worth it. This is a sport and you should be in it for the right reasons with the right mentality.

You have worked so hard so just go out there and enjoy your short time on stage. It’s your time to shine so use it wisely.

Who is your bikini or fitness idol?

I haven’t got one particular idol, as there are far too many inspiring ladies within the fitness industry. However I adore Lauren Simpson and Brigi Bekefi. Not just their physique but their drive and passion.

How was your last prep and how did you manage your diet?

My last prep was probably my most successful and relatively easy. I managed my diet well too, and the reason being was over the years of prep experience I have learned to improve my mental attitude. If you have a positive mindset then everything else is much easier.

How often do you practice your posing ?

Off season - once or twice a week
Prep- every other day however I’m quite experienced now so if I wasn’t I’d practise that little bit more during prep.

Your favourite bikini colour?
Purple

Would you recommend us as bikini designer and why?

Absolutely highly recommend!! From the quality, style and fit being beyond perfect to the amazing service offered.

What is your next plans?

To try new feds next year that I feel prefer a more muscular bikini look.

Do you have any other hobbies outside work and gym?

I love to walk and sightsee. And I’m a standard girl that loves retail therapy.

Who you would like to say thank you or give a shout out?

Thank you to everyone that supports me. From clients to family and friends and sponsors.
